If you are reading this on the web and would like to get it in your own email Press Here. We have had many “bouncing” emails from people we know are active members. Perhaps a move or a change of internet providers has meant a change of email address. Munches are open to anyone – over the age of 18 – who has an interest in learning more about the kinky side of Austin and Central Texas. You can meet lots of other fun and interesting folks and get the 411 on all sorts of groups and events. Please remember – don’t scare the vanillas – family friendly clothing please.

We meet in the back room, which does have it’s own entrance with a ramp. Place your food orders at the bar and a server will bring your food in to you. Please remember to tip!

Artz is centrally located on South Lamar, about 2 miles south of Lady Bird Lake (Town Lake). Street clothes are the appropriate attire for this event. If the front parking lot looks full, go around the back.

An Intimate Interview with Wolfco by Susan.

Q. So, You're kinky?
A. Yes

Q. For how long?
A. For as long as I can remember. I remember playing Dr. with a neighbor girl when I was 10 or 11. Her dad was a real Dr, and we had real restraints!

Q. You are married right?
A. Yes

Q. May I assume that your wife is kinky also?
A. She is.

Q. Has she always been kinky?
A. I can't speak for before we met, but she's been kinky since the first time we hooked up.

Q. How long have the two of you been active in the scene?
A. As I said, we've been kinky since the day we met, but we only been publicly active for about 1 ½ years now.

Q. What made you decide to “come out”?
A. A variety of things, but mostly I think it was just time. We were ready, we just needed a nudge.

Q. And the nudge was?
A. I had been making a few jewelry type boxes when a friend told me that she was throwing a bachelorette party for a friend of hers who was getting married for the third time. She asked me to adapt a box to be able to hold a few dildoes and vibes instead. She (and her friend) loved it and she suggested that I should try to sell them. I had already been making kinky furniture for me and my wife, and this was the nudge I needed. I started getting involved with some of the local groups and realized that while I still enjoy making and selling furniture, I am truly happy just being a part of the local community.

Q. So how did you actually get into building dungeon furniture?
A. I am a carpenter by trade, but I found that while I enjoy carpentry, it had gotten to the point where it was no longer challenging. Designing and building the furniture allows me to challenge myself, my abilities and also, it allows me to indulge my kinky predilections.

Q. Where do you get the ideas for your furniture?
A. For the most part the ideas come from some dark, twisted recess of my mind. I've also been inspired by things I've seen at dungeons and on the 'net. While I have based some of my designs on things I have seen, I usually modify or adapt it to suit my purposes.

Q. Do you have an example?
A. I saw something online once where a girl was tied to a horizontal beam suspended between two vertical columns. I took this idea (which I really liked) and made it portable. I then added a bishop's chair and a bench for other options, depending on what you're in the mood to do.

Q. What are the considerations you take into account when you design and build a piece of furniture?
A. Quality. I build everything with the idea that it will be used heavily. I also take pride in my finishes and you can see that in every piece.

One of my pet peeves with traditional furniture is that it's only good for one thing. Granted, a cross or a spanking bench isn't going to have much variety, but as expensive as furniture is (and I'll admit that my work isn't cheap), and as little as most people have, I think it sucks that you can't do more with each piece. That is why I try do design most of my pieces to have more than use. I also try to design them to be easy to set them up and take them down for storage.

Q. Does your wife work with you on your furniture or does she just reap the benefits?
A. She doesn't really help much with the construction or finishing of my pieces, and she certainly does reap the benefits trying out the prototypes, but she does help with the designs.

Q. How so?
A. I am male, I am Dominant. I tend to see things from that perspective. Anne is an engineer as well as my sub and will look at a work in progress from that perspective. She'll tell me if something will be uncomfortable and suggest alternative construction possibilities. She will also see ways to secure a sub better or with better access to the important bits. It's actually kind of funny to watch, she sees something and says “You know, if you do this like that, you'd be able to do this too...” Then she gets an “oh crap, what have I done to myself now” kind of look followed by guilty, kind of expectant grin on her face. If the idea's really good, sometimes she'll blush a little too.

THANK YOU WOLFCO, for taking the time for the interview and for all your support of GWNN and the entire community.  Thank you to SUSAN for handling the interview!
